She hosted many major music and television awards like the the South African Music, Channel O Music Awards, The South African Film and Television Awards and many other beauty pageants including Miss South Africa.

In 2013 she was named as the new hos for international franchise ‘Clash of the Choirs’where she held the fort for two seasons. In 2014 she was named as the new host of Metro FM’s mid morning slot replacing Siphokazi January. In October 2014 she was unveiled as the spokesperson for Ciroc Vodka in Africa along with South African fashion designer, David Tlale, hip hop recording artist, Da L.E.S and club disc jockey, DJ Dimplez.

REAL NAME: Michael Owusu

Michael Owusu a.k.a Sarkodie is a Ghanaian rapper who was recently signed to Akon`s Konvict Africa label and the joint winner of B.E.T`s Best International Act award with Nigerian superstar Wizkid. Sarkodie is the fourth child out of 5 children, He is described as a young, energetic, polite, simple man. The hiplife/hiphop artist is known as the King of Undergound hiplife music which he has been doing for nearly five years before finally turning to do commercial music. Sarkodie has worked with various people from Ghana to Nigerian artistes, such people like D`banj, E fine, Mugeez and many more. Sarkodie is one of the most wanted/requested african rappers in the industry right now and he is not showing any sign of stopping soon.



Funke Akindele is a Nigerian actress, Akindele worked in television before switching to the big screens. She became known for her role in the family-oriented Nigerian television show I NEED TO KNOW. Funke obtained an OND in Mass Communication from the Ogun State Polytechnic and a Law degree from the University of Lagos. Since hitting the big screens, Funke Akindele has starred, produced and directed in movies of her own, Jenifa 1 & 2, The Return of Jenifa, Akorede and Apaadi just to name a few.
Funke has gone on to win the African Movie Academy Award in 2009 and many more and she is now happily married and her tv series Jenifa’s diaries is a big success till date.



Lira`s music is a blissful of Afro-Jazz, RnB, soul among others. After winning a competitions for young singers and songwriters, Lira started performing live at the age of 16, singing both cover versions and self-penned songs. In 2000 Lira was found out by musician and producer Arthur Mafokate, who signed her to his own record label, “999 MUSIC”. She wrote all the songs on her album that was called “All My Love” in 2003 and was releasedto the public in May 2003. She left 999 Music and teamed up with keyboardist Victor Mngomezulu, bassist Tshepo Sekele, and producer Robin Kohl. In 2006, her second album, “Feel Good”, was released and this was a massive success. Lira received five nominations at the South African Grammy Awards (Best New Artist, Best Female Artist, Best R&B Album, Best Video and Best single). “Feel Good”, was labelled as an incredible Afro-jazz album. ‘Feel good’ was twice number 1 on Metro FM’s charts. Her third album, “Soul In Mind”, came out in the year 2008. Lira set a soul scorching benchmark with her 2006 album FEEL GOOD and with her late 2008 release, SOUL IN MIND she once again created a record that is defined by its honesty, soulfulness, femininity and utter joyfulness. Lira, the 29-year-old has delivered an album that shows Lira’s growth over the past the years – most especially as a songwriter and performer, turning the little girl who showed signs of her talent five years ago into a successful woman with world class talent.

Jesse Jagz (Jesse Garba Abaga)is known as Nigerian`s finest because of his flirtatious experimentation with different genres of music from R&B to roots reggae to pop in a very unique way.
Jesse is originally from Taraba State, a native of Jukun although he grew up in Jos, Plateau State.

Jagz recorded his first ever album wih his fromer group called “Gospel Insanity” but the album never got released due to altercations with the group. He later went on to producing beats and formed another group called “Eleven Thirty” they became popular and had a quite a success in Jos.
In the year 2004, Jesse joined his brother Jude Abaga popularly known as M.I and together they started Inner Hub Studios. By the year 2006, Jesse then started to pursue a solo career with his official single “Africa”, which did quite well as it remained the #1 song on Cool FM chart for months and around the year 2006 and 2007, Jesse Jagz released three songs that dominated the top ten charts on Cool FM, RayPower FM and also Rhythm FM. these songs slowly became the street anthems around North Nigeria.

“Bend Down Low”, “Nobody Test Me”, “The Greatest” and also “Sugar Cane Baby” were some of Jesse`s hit songs and his major song “My Brother” was chosen to be a part of the International Music Entrepreneur of the Year” in 2008.

In February 2009, the Award nominated producer and hip hop artist was selected to represent Nigeria at the 2009 edition of Sauti Za Busara Music Festival – a yearly international festival celebrating East African music and features top-quality musical performances by more than 400 established and upcoming artists (40 groups in total) and over the years has established itself as one of Africa’s leading music festivals which held in Zanzibar, Tanzania.
Jesse Jagz’s hit singles “Wetin Dey”, “Pump It Up” and “Nobody Test Me”, in which he featured fellow artist Ice Prince and brother M.I (both rap artist), were chart toppers around the whole country. His debut music video, “Pump It Up”, was released in November 2009 and got him positive reviews.

He released his debut album, “Jag of all tradez ” in 2010 to critical acclaim. He was notably absent from the music scene in 2011 and 2012,returning in 2013 with a reggae infused style. He released the singles “Murder them” and “Redemption” in the 1st half of 2013 after parting ways with Chocolate City Music Group. The singles were released under his new imprint,Jagz Nation. In June 2013,Jesse Jagz left Chocolate City and released his sophomore album (his first as an Independent artist) “Jagz Nation Vol 1; Thy Nation Come ”. With him rapping, Singing and handling most of the production on his first album,Jesse Jagz chose to seek the help of other producers such as Samklef,Shady and KidKonnect on his sophomore album instead. The album features the likes of Brymo and Wizkid on it.

BACKGROUND: Runtown officially went into music in 2007….
Originally from Enugu State, but never really stayed in the state, Runtown stayed in Enugu just to write his Exams. It was after this that he relocated to Lagos with Known igbo rapper Phyno. The music professionally, started in 2010, as this is when Runtown recorded his first single “Party Like It’s 1980”. Runtown also did his own song back then called “Activity Pikin”. There was a video for it but got little airplay and people didn’t get to know who ‘Run Town’ was. BRuntown later on met Timaya through J-Martins, who he had previously met and had featured on one of his tracks off of his album and then he started working with Timaya. At a point, Runtown started staying with Timaya. When “Party Like It’s 1980” was released, the song became popular, but rundown was not known. So, runtown thought of doing a remix of the song and reached out and told Timaya he wanted to feature Davido on the remix because then he did not have direct contact to Davido. Timaya put a call through to Davido,they got together, but ended up changing their minds and did a new song ‘Gallardo’ and that was how Runtown’s career took a new turn with the song. So much so that when he got to shows, he;ll perform his old songs and people tend to connect with it. Now he has songs like; Energy, Mad over you & said ft nasty c which are massive hit singles right now.
